The online 1st Round of the 5th edition of the Maxence Larrieu International Flute Competition – Nice came to an end last night !

61 candidates gave you incredible performances throughout the five days of the competition. They played a magnificent, rich and varied repertoire, including “Kaptara”, composed by the famous French composer Guillaume Connesson, a piece for solo flute played by all the candidates, of which they became the 61 co-creators.

We hope you had a wonderful time, full of emotions !

We’d like to thank all the talented young artists who took part in this online 1st Round. You have amazed us with your interpretations, each one unique and captivating.

We’d also like to thank our principal jury, chaired by Maxence Larrieu himself: Julien Beaudiment, Jasmine Choi, Matvey Demin, Adriana Ferreira, Matthieu Gauci-Ancelin and Herman van Kogelenberg. They are currently in deliberation, deciding on the future of our candidates for the rest of the competition.
