STREAM 2nd Round Larrieu Flute Competition: The Journey Continues

After an emotionally charged first phase, the Maxence Larrieu International Flute Competition moves into its second stage, offering candidates a new opportunity to showcase the full extent of their talent.

📅 The second-round performances will take place on Monday, October 21, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 7:10 PM, as well as on Tuesday, October 22, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 6:20 PM. These two days of top-level performances will be held at the Nice Conservatory, in the Joseph Kosma Auditorium.

Of the 23 candidates competing in this decisive round, only 8 semifinalists will be selected. They will perform on October 24, and the four candidates chosen by the jury will advance to the Final on October 26.

The jury, made up of internationally renowned flutists, will face the delicate task of selecting candidates as the competition progress, all of whom are equally brilliant.

Best Interpretation of the French Program Award

A unique aspect of this second round is the involvement of teachers from conservatories and music schools in France and French-speaking countries, who will have the opportunity to participate in the competition by voting for their favorite candidate among the 23 artists in the running. The flutist who receives the most votes will be awarded the Best Interpretation of the French Program Award, a distinction that highlights the importance of French music in the flute repertoire.
